Synopsis
For decades, the idea that the powerful could be held to account for the crime of war remained an unfinished promise of Nuremberg. War and Justice follows the people who have spent their working lives trying to keep that promise alive at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
Shot with unprecedented access to the Court's prosecutors, the film traces the institution from its founding conviction through its hardest years, and into a present in which the war in Ukraine has made the question of international justice urgent again.
